About the Webinar:

Personal Geographies is taking the craft market by storm!

Join us on a journey you won’t soon forget! Author Jill K. Berry will share the defining moments (a McDonald’s restaurant map?) that led to her incredible love for all things cartographic and a profession as a mapmaker – of sorts. You’ll get a solid lesson in the different kinds of maps (demographic, geographic, historical, cultural, etc.) that influence her own work. Jill will illustrate how to use mapmaking as a storytelling device via her own work and that of her students and contributors to her book, Personal Geographies. You’ll see examples of humorous and humorless, factual and agenda-driven, ornate and simple, psychological and memory maps. You’ll be dazzled by the beautiful full-color photos and you’ll be inspired to try your hand at mapmaking, too!

Everyone who registers for this event will receive:

  • A FREE recording of the webinar.
  • An opportunity to purchase Jill’s book, Personal Geographies (and other goodies!), through ShopMixedMedia.com at a special discount! (Discount code will be provided at the end of the session.)
