Things don’t always start for me, they emerge. They show up when they are ready, not when planned. This art piece started when I was cleaning off brushes and painty fingers. It was a colorful mess. A poetic place for her to emerge with the story she had to tell.
She was full of doubt. The kind of thoughtful doubt that makes you question who you are.
I couldn’t just let her stand there all by herself. She needed a little sunshine on her. So thanks to a stencil by Michelle Ward, she had some rays! A few typed words and she knew exactly what she needed to do to brighten her day.
