Karen O’Brien is a mixed media artist and painter of soulful imaginary characters she calls her “urban folk.” As a teacher, Karen strives to provide her students with a fun, inspiring classroom environment where they feel free to take creative risks and enjoy the results. She believes in playful curiosity, learning to see and trusting the process. Karen teaches at various mixed media retreats and at her studio in Grants Pass, Oregon.
