A guest post by Carolyn Dube
I used to be afraid that I might make a mistake but not any more. Mistakes are pure gold to me now. Why? Because every mistake is an opportunity. Things formerly known as a mistake are now just an Oops.
In this video, you will see my Oops as I play with stencils from StencilGirl and and paint on a large envelope. Each and every Oops was a gift, an Outstanding Opportunity that Presented Suddenly, that guided me as I played. Even the ugly ones were a gift, and I do mean ugly!
Supplies Used:
- Buildings stencil by Carolyn Dube for StencilGirl Products
- Damask Borders stencil by Michelle Ward for StencilGirl Products
- Catalyst Mini Blade 01
- Artist Tape (or any repositionable tape)
- Gesso
- Various Acrylic Paints
- Liquitex heavy bodied white paint
- Golden High Flow Paint
Next time you are creating try saying Oops when you make a mistake and see what happens.
